Welcome

The Domaine de l’Abeale is open over the year and is situated at 20 km far from the town of Valence, in south of France, on the west side direction toward Le Puy en Velay, and very close to the Natural Regional Park of Monts d’Ardeche.
This stoned old farm – dated 1839 but probably aged from the feudal period – was entirely renewed in order to welcome the hosts with the better comfort and change of scenery, in B&B and rural gite. The property is surrounded by 3 hectares of undulating landscape with its own pond.

This situation not far from the Rhone Valley, but also in the middle of the first Ardeche plateaux allows this subtle mix of change of scenery and authenticity, without denying the numerous activities as : wandering, cyclotourism, climbing, swim pool, canoe, riding, hot air balloon, paragliding, … and more

Nearby the large swimming-pool – 10 x 5.5 mt (gallery), from 1st June to 15th September, you will flow your laziness under the sunny weather, looking over a splendid point of view. You will enjoy our fitness room either you will prefer sauna and Jacuzzi. (gallery). You also find a large underground vaulted 100 sq.mt cellar (gallery), fitted for seminar, professional meeting and receptions. You can receive up to 60 persons, in a calm and quiet environment, easy to reach, located near to the great towns as : LYON – GENEVA – GRENOBLE – MARSEILLE …

Outside, you will discover our splendid landscapes and chestnut forest by wandering on our numerous walking lanes. You can also collect plants, mushrooms and chestnuts, or catch pictures … Anyway, a bath inside a whole wild and preserved nature !

For your relaxation, from 10 to 20 o’clock you will use our wellness space reserved for you only during the hour you will spend there : showers, jacuzzi, sauna, fitness, home bicycle, trainer. It is also possible to get massages on demand (shiatsu – yoga – california – skin ‘s care). Enjoy !

We receive more and more hosts with electric cars. Naturally, they will be able to load their battery on the place. But regarding the cost of energy now, we will ask them  a financial contribution of 10 € per loading (based on ~50 KWh capacity in average)

On the other hand, you can use our authentic 100 m² vaulted cellar for meetings, either for family, or for professionnal area. We are settled not far from the great access axes and from the great regional maintowns as Marseille, Lyon, Grenoble, Geneva. Free access to Wifi.

If you want to have dinner (no more available), you will get rich company with the other hosts by dining at the table d’hôtes. And, maybe will your owner entertained you with illusion and magic tricks. Fabulous evening whose you’ll remember on a long time ! (This entertainement is actually out)

Fans of old stones (lot of castles) or history (particularly protestantism) will be seduced by the treasures of the local patrimony. We are very near by the wines routes of reputed Cotes du Rhone : Cornas ; Saint-Joseph ; Hermitage ; Crozes and Saint-Peray, which is the champagne of Drome Ardeche.
